Founded in July 2009, Jump is the theater and dance initiative of Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries.
Jump offers beginning and intermediate dance instruction, acting, performance and public speaking training,
and music, video, and production experience to youth. Currently, two main programs are offered: a dance, acting,
and performance program at Christ Church for 5th-6th grade students from Walker Upper Elementary School; and a
12-week intensive Music Video Project at the Music Resource Center for students from Buford Middle School and
Charlottesville High School. Subsidiary Jump activities are also offered for K-4th graders through the Abundant
Life Tutoring Program at Johnson Elementary School and at the Blue Ridge Commons Neighborhood Center. Jump has
reached 40 students in its pilot year.
