A few statistics from CALM's eleven years of operation:

- CALM's Summer LIFE! Day Camp has taken place for the past TWELVE summers!
- Over the years, teens have gone on trips to Chicago, New York, Niagara Falls, Atlanta, Charlotte, DC, Richmond,
Virginia Beach, Pasadena, Los Angeles, Boston, Columbus, and to Kids Across America camp in Missouri.
- 1st-4th grade Tutoring is starting its 11th year this fall! About 45 children are enrolled.
- Another 20 children are involved in 5th & 6th grade tutoring.
- The 5/8 Club for 5th-10th grade boys draws about 25 boys each week.
- LQ Jr & Sr Club meetings usually draw 10-12 girls each.
- About 20 kids typically participate in Bible Club during the school year.
- Approximately 120 tutors meet with CALM students each week in supervised 1:1 sessions!
- Ministry volunteers log over 1400 hours per semester
- Just under half of CALM's staff lives in the target neighborhood,
33% of staff are from the neighborhood, and 44% are African-American.
- 5 families have become homeowners through CALM's Individual Development Account (IDA) program --
made possible in part by collaborations with the State's VIDA Program, Habitat for Humanity,
Piedmont Housing Alliance, SunTrust Bank, Wachovia Bank, the City's CDBG program, National
Christian Foundation, and Albmarle County's Homeownership classes.
- Thanks to many generous donors, CALM owns 1.73 acres of land on the edge of its
neighborhood! Neighborhood residents and staff are planning and dreaming!
